PEAK Undergraduate Program, The University of Tokyo accepts Cambridge English

The University of Tokyo is going to launch two new undergraduate programs as PEAK (Program in English at Komaba), taught entirely in English, in October, 2012. One is on East Asian Studies and the other focuses on Environmental Sciences. All courses are taught in English and prior knowledge in Japanese is not required. Vietnam National University says yes to Cambridge English

The Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City is the latest to join the 12,000 organisations around the world to adopt Cambridge English standards of language ability. From 2011, under-graduate- and post-grad students can prove their English language ability at the start and finish of their courses using Cambridge English: Key, Preliminary, First, Advanced and Proficiency. Cambridge ESOL's Business English Certificates (BEC) and BULATS are also accepted under the new scheme. Cambridge's teaching English abroad qualification gets thumbs up from exams regulator of the UK government

Ofqual, the exams regulator of the UK government, has confirmed that Cambridge ESOL's Delta qualification for teachers is at the same level as a Master's degree or a professional diploma in the UK, Ireland and other European Countries. This is a result of Delta being placed at level 7 of the UK government’s Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF), making it the only English language teaching diploma currently included at this level.view

UK medical schools accepting Cambridge English trebles in a year

The number of medical schools in the UK recognising Cambridge English language tests more than trebled in a 12 month period, according to new figures. As of December 2010, 26 schools from across the UK now accept the English language tests from Cambridge ESOL compared to just 7 a year earlier. Language experts Cambridge ESOL, who compiled the figures, say this boost is part of a growing trend in the healthcare industry where language skills are becoming top of the skills agenda. Leading U.S. Law School Joins Ranks of Schools that Accept the ILEC

Washington University School of Law in St. Louis announced on Oct.1 2010 that it will now accept Cambridge ESOL's International Legal English Certificate (ILEC) for admission to its LL.M.studies. Air France chooses Cambridge ESOL to assess the English Language skills of its staff

Air France has appointed the experts in language assessment, Cambridge ESOL, to assess the language skills of its workforce of nearly 63,000 employees. The three year contract with Cambridge ESOL is to use its Business Language Testing Service (BULATS). Cambridge ESOL, a department of the University of Cambridge, won the tender issued by the airline last December. Air France will be working with Cambridge ESOL to replace the existing language assessment tests used by the training department of the group to evaluate nearly 6,000 employees each year. view

Adopting Cambridge ESOL exams has helped the The Department of Education and Training (DOET) in Dongnai to standardise their English, according to Mr Le Minh Hoang the Director of DOET. A new education project in Germany, recently praised by Saxony’s Culture Minister, will see secondary school pupils in the region sit English tests set by a department of Cambridge University.
